Hong Kong–Day 1

Hong Kong in Cantonese means “Fragrant Harbor” and this comes from the Sandalwood trees and this is a popular candle fragrance.

We are doing the Kowloon (9 Dragons) highlights tours this morning.  We went to the Chi Lin Nunnery, so peaceful and beautiful with wonderful art and lots of bonsai's and a beautiful lily pond.  We then went to the Wong Tai Sin temple a popular place to worship and have your fortunes foretold. There were 100’s of people here and we only had time to see a small portion of this very large temple.

We then went to the Jade Market and I was to busy looking to take many pictures, but you can see how it looks.  There are rows of these stalls and lots of bargaining to do.  George was having fun and we found a few treasures to bring home.
