Hong Kong–Day 1 Afternoon

We started our afternoon with Dim Sum (of course) at the beautiful Jade Garden.  Yummy!!! We ate enough for you all.

We walked to the classic Peninsula Hotel with all it’s old world charm.  We were going to have afternoon ‘Tea’ but still to full from Dim Sum.  From there on to the Intercontinental Hotel, new and ultra modern.  We had drinks overlooking the harbor - another beautiful spot!  I think you can tell the difference easily. I had a Bamboo Dragon and George had a Golden Dragon (real gold flecks floating).

The streets were pack like New York and window shopping was lots of fun.  There are lots of malls and every high end store you could imagine or want.  Doesn’t seem to be a shortage of $$ here.

George is standing under bamboo scaffolding for construction that is used all over the city.  The bamboo lasts about 40 years and can be used over and over.

Heading back to the Quest to get ready for the evening lights, I can hardly wait…
