Day 5-Continuing down the Danube to Vienna

We are now cruising further down the Danube, and the weather is still damp.  We had a busy afternoon on board today.  We had a Austrian lunch served with local entertainment, and as you can see George looks great with the pretty girls. PROST!

Outside, through the rain, you can see the countryside.  We went through the Wachau Valley, heart of Austria’s wine country, more locks (26 total on the river and we went through 19), and of course castle’s on the hillside. I feel like we are in a dreamland.

After lunch we toured the Wheelhouse with our Captain and then on to the Galley with our Chief (a very small and efficient place where he does his magic) followed by a strudel demonstration and again you see George is liking this eating stuff.  LOL.

That night, we had a special ‘Mozart’ dinner and then on to the theater in Vienna for a fabulous Mozart and Strauss  concert.  A long way from country music for me but I did recognize a lot and George was familiar with it all. Another beautiful experience. What a WONDERFUL performance! We are sooooo full of culture these days.

Tomorrow is a full day in Vienna and I’m sure it will be wonderful, too.  See you all tomorrow. Where are we???

Xoxo C & G
